Emily Arden

As part of my final third year dissertation project I decided to write, direct and act in a short 15 minute play about the struggles of boredom a 1950s housewife faces when hosting a dinner party for her husbands boss. The play is a comedy and invites the audience into Annie's daydream as she dreams about a love affair, reminisicent of all her favourite movies (Cassablanca, Gone with the Wind, Brief Encounter etc) with her boss.  The project earnt me a first class mark and I intend to develop it further in the future. 

Performing as 'Prunellope Pollock' in Minotaur Theatre Company's production of 'The Librarians' at THESPACE on Northbridge. 2nd-17th August, at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Played the part of Jessica in a university production of Merchant of Venice as part of my degree.

Performed as Celia in 'As You Like It' At UEA Drama Studio

Peformed the part of Rebecca Dingley in 'Coffee and Cropped Laurels'. A new play written by an ex graduate of the UEA Drama course 'Joe Wright' who won the 'New writing competition'.

Performed the part of Annie in 'The Real Thing' by Tom Stoppard, at Norwich Puppet Theatre with UEA drama society.

I performed and directed this play as part of my ALEVEL drama.
